Patient Considerations

The following conditions will disqualify a patient from participating in this program. Please note this list is not exhaustive. If you have questions about your patient's appropriateness, please contact our clinical directors at cdsurgery@aaid.com.

Medically Compromised Patients
End stage renal failure
Congestive heart failure
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
History of radiation therapy
Immune compromised conditions
History of severe osteoporosis
Pregnancy w/ Complications
Severe anemia, liver cirrhosis & failure
Active TB
Chronic use of steroids
History of MI w/in 6 mos.
Use of different BT and Bleeding disorders
Fear anxiety and Depression

Dental Compromised Patients
Active perio disease
History of failed implants
Multiple periapical abcesses
Severe atrophy of the upper and lower jaws
Sleep Apnea and Bruxism
Chronic sinusitis and other sinus issues
Oral cancer - primary & metastatic
Osteomyelitis of the jaw bone
